Zircon

The advantages of porcelain crowns on the zirconium support:

-Zirconium shows a translucency similar to the natural teeth so that, because of the absence of the metallic plate, the light reflected from a zirconium crown is like a natural tooth, crowns made ideal for the front teeth.
-Zirconium shows a much higher resistance than the other materials used as a support, the zircon oxide being used in general in medicine for hip prostheses.
-Another major quality that zirconium has is that is not producing the gingival lizereum (gray stripe) on metalo-ceramic crowns.
-Frequently, patients do not accuse metallic taste
-Zirconium crowns are much lighter than the metal crowns; the patient accommodation is much easier.
-NO allergens.
-NO pulp irritation (nerve irritation).
-The precision of  zirconium prosthesis is guaranteed by a computer (CAD / CAM) by cutting a block of zirconium oxide

Because the quality of a zirconium has a higher price and is made using sophisticated technology makes the price of zirconium-ceramic crowns (LEI 950) to be higher compared to that of a metalo-ceramic crowns (400 LEI).
